Grays Harbor Courthouse Complex, Montesano, WA

This campus contains over 100,000 square feet of buildings including the historic Montesano Courthouse, the Sheriff and County Jail Facility, the original County Jail Facility and the County Office Building. Tres West provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the renovations and additions to Sheriff Offices, Jail Facilities, kitchen, new security central command, emergency operations center and complete campus security and fire alarm systems.


University of Washington Tacoma Campus

University of Washington Tacoma Campus, Tacoma, WA

The University of Washington Tacoma Campus was a challenging project. It contributed to the upgrade of a depressed area in downtown Tacoma, revitalizing existing heavy timber and brick warehouses into usable spaces and new construction while maintaining the historic appearances of the area. Tres West Engineers provided mechanical and electrical systems design, including variable air volume HVAC, plumbing, fire protection sprinklers, DDC controls, power, lighting, fire alarm, security, telephone and data communication systems. Design included tunnel space for future campus-wide distribution of utilities.


Friday Harbor High School

Friday Harbor High School, Friday Harbor, WA

Tres West Engineers provided complete mechanical and electrical engineering services for the renovation and addition to the school. Systems included domestic water service, electric heating and ventilation, fire protection sprinklers, DDC controls, new electrical service, fire alarm, security system, data and a clock system. Entire project totaled approximately $5.4 million with mechanical/electrical systems totaling approximately $2.2 million.


Bryant Elementary School

Bryant Elementary School, Seattle, WA

Tres West Engineers provided mechanical/electrical design services for the remodel of the main building and building additions of Bryant Elementary School. The school is listed on the registry of historic buildings. The main building scope consisted of moving the administration offices and converting the existing lunchroom into a new childcare center, as well as reconstructing the classrooms and replacing all the HVAC, controls, electrical, intercom/PA, fire alarm, and fire protection systems. Additions to the site included a Learning Resource Center , multi-purpose room, a gym in the court area, a secondary rear entrance, and a gallery.


Yesler Building

Yesler Building, Seattle, WA

The Yesler Building is a historic landmark in downtown Seattle. This building was constructed in the era of steam heating, and was retrofitted with a modern HVAC system in the early 1980's. Tres West Engineers provided engineering services for two projects in the facility. The first project involved a tenant improvement of the 4th floor to turn it into courtroom space. The second project entailed a study/evaluation of the building HVAC systems. The goal of this study was to program HVAC improvements needed to correct HVAC deficiencies and bring the operation into conformance with current codes.
