TRES WEST ENGINEERS, INC.

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering in Tacoma, WA

About Us

At Tres West, our mindset is that it’s not about us. It’s about the families, students, and patrons who will call the places we design home, school, and work.  It’s about providing warm, comfortable, efficiently-illuminated areas for people to celebrate special occasions, learn something new, and make new discoveries.  We are honored to provide our expertise for such moments and strive to create enjoyable environments for people to learn, live, work, and connect.

Our Values

We see how our work contributes to the everyday experiences of our communities by making a long-term impact.  People are at their best when they are most comfortable, when they have the best lighting for their workstations, and when they have modern technology to collaborate.

Tres West understands our responsibility in creating dynamic and sustainable environments for our communities to aspire to their greatest potential.

  • In our schools, we envision a child who can comfortably take off their coat, be amazed by something alive through the lens of a microscope, and, with curiosity, rush to a computer to learn everything they can about microscopic life.
  • In our homes, we visualize a dinner table decorated for that special occasion in a room full of warmth, immersed in the aroma of tradition in the air.
  • In our work places, we see a technician working late into the evening with the hope of making a life-changing discovery, surrounded by technology that will help make that discovery a reality.
  • In connecting these places, we see a family outing to the park and a stop to browse at the local market, made possible by convenient public transportation.

Throughout everything, from education to housing to transportation to offices, we are inspired by the people and the potential of our communities.  As a result of our forethought, efficiency, and dedicated design, we value our contribution for positive change and an enhanced quality of life. Above all, we endeavor to not lose focus on our stewardship of the environment in which we all live.

Charles Li joins as a partner of the firm and remains a strong employee on our electrical team today. An incredible trailblazer, Charles Li provides foundational leadership and direction in the early stages of our company and drives a highly responsive and hands-on approach to design services.  Charles also firmly establishes the electrical department and over the next 38 years throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho contributes to the development of the Pacific Northwest Region.
