Tres West Engineers is providing mechanical and electrical engineering services for the construction of a new 138,396 square foot educational facility to replace the existing school.  Tres West is providing services in all phases that included pre-design services and will include construction administration, which will take place in 2008.  The total cost for the mechanical systems is approximately $6.6 million, and electrical systems is approximately $4.9 million.

Kenmore Junior High School Replacement, Kenmore, WA

Tres West Engineers is providing mechanical engineering services for this educational facility.  Kenmore Junior High School has a student population of 827 in grades 7-9.  Tres West mechanical design team is providing engineering services for a new 2-story science and art building totaling 21,296 square feet. The systems used include a 100% outside air displacement ventilation system with heat reclaim, hot water perimeter heating, and a variable refrigerant flow system for the computer classrooms. The overall project cost for the facility is $10 million. Mechanical systems are approximately $1.2 million. Construction is scheduled to start in 2008.

This project bid at $5.4 million to include such items as the addition of a 4-classroom wing, expanding administrative office space, adding a new classroom for kindergarten and modernization of such areas as existing classroom pods and existing learning resource center.
